Sheet 53 - Median Curb Connection - Our intent would be to slip-form the median curb.
1. Would drilling and epoxying the dowels prior to slip-forming be acceptable? (this is common)
Sheets 54 and 56 - Legend - Monolithic Sections - The colored sections of PCCP in the roll curb transition area
2. Would the monolithic sections in these areas (curb and gutter/roll curb and gutter/PCCP) be poured as regular or colored concrete?
Sheet 56 - Legend (Longitudinal Construction Joint) - points (S1-S10-T10-T1); (X35-X49-X18- Y10-Y25-Y19) running east to west
3. Would these be considered a "transverse construction joint"? Reinforcement per Det Dwg 501-00?
Answer
Submitted: Tuesday    12-JUN-2018 11:11 AM
1.  Drilling and epoxying the dowels prior to slip forming is not allowed.
2.  They will be poured as regular concrete.
3.  No, they are longitudinal construction joints as they are also centerlines to Grizzly Trail, Nissler Road and Ramps A and B.  There will be cross slope grade breaks in these locations on these side roads.
