MONTANA MADE GOODS [107] (REVISED 10-11-12)
Use Montana made goods and wooden materials on this project if such goods and materials are comparable in price and quality to non-Montana made goods and materials.
STATE PREFERECE [107] (ADDED 1-1-03)
This project does not involve federal aid funds; therefore the following preferences apply:
A. Under the provisions of 18-2-403, MCA, give preference to the employment of bona fide Montana residents in the performance of the work on this project.
B. Under the provisions of 18-1-102(1)(a)(i), MCA, a resident bidder can be given a preference only against a non-resident bidder from a state or country that itself enforces a preference in favor of its resident bidders, equal to the amount of preference that state or country gives to its bidders.
MERIT AND QUALIFICATION HIRING [107] (ADDED 1-1-03)
Hiring must be on the basis of merit and qualification and there must be no discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, political ideas, sex, age, marital status, physical or mental handicap or national origin.

Does MDT plan to change Sign Sheeting to the new June 1, 2018 specifications as this plan shows Type IV on all signs. I believe a new Sign Schedule is required.

On Sheet 9 there is a note under the Additional Grading Frame Summary that states "Excavation Quantities-Material Unsuitable for roadway embankments" Does that include all of the excavation quantity or just the excavation quantity in the additional surfacing frame?

The note does not include all of the excavation quantity. The note applies only to the quantities listed in the ADD. EMB IN PLACE # column of the ADDITIONAL GRADING summary frame.

The way this project will be constructed with it being located in town we feel this project needs to be a 70 day contract to get the work sequenced properly. There is such a short area to get all items completed in such a short time. We request this Contract time be changed to 70days.

The Milling Summary, Schedule of Items in the Bid Proposal, and Project Bids™ bid file all show a quantity of 7,290.00 square yards of cold milling.

The project includes Frangible Breakaways and Structural Steel Posts but does not included bid items. Please add those items. It also includes guardrail in the special provisions and plan page 2 but there are no bid items or summary boxes with quantities. Should there be guardrail on this project?

Plan Sheet 2 incorrectly referenced Guardrail in the Table of Contents. There are no guardrail bid items included in this contract. Special Provision No. 30, OPTIONAL ROUND WOOD GUARDRAIL POSTS is hereby deleted from the contract.
