After reviewing the subject project site, it appears there are significant gravel sources located in close proximity to the project. Would the MDOT consider adding an option to the bid for a full width/depth Crushed Aggregate Course only option along with the current Cement Treated Base/Crushed Aggregate course option?
Answer
Submitted Friday  28-DEC-28, 2018 7:35 AM
The Department will not add a full width/depth CAC option to bid.  This would require a full redesign with the potential for additional design exceptions and right-of-way.

Could MDT please provide the cut/fill quantities on the pdf cross-sections?
Answer
Submitted: Monday  07-JAN-2019 01:46 PM
The cut/fill quantities were purposefully removed from the cross-sections, because the Special Borrow quantities needed to be subtracted from the values that GeoPak provided on the cross-section sheets in the Embankment Foundation Treatment area.  However, all cut/fill volumes calculated with GeoPak can be found in the 4889001RDEWK001.log and 4889001RDEWK001.txt files.  In the 4889001RDEWK001.log file, there is a line item at Station 451+50 removing the Special Borrow quantity from the fill volume.

In addition, the Department will not make any revisions to the electronic files pertaining to the staked project, change ordered work, or changes that are made during construction to fit field conditions.
