Which bridge decks get a polymer overlay? The quantities on the bridge plans don't show a polymer overlay.

None of the decks will receive a polymer overlay.  The bid items for POLYMER OVERLAY and PREPARE DECK will be deleted from the contract.  An addendum will be issued.

1) What are the construction easements for the pipe encasement at station 448+35? The south side of the roadway appears to only have 30 ft of working room available.
2) Protecting the underside coating of the new pipe will be difficult as it will need to be dragged into the existing pipe. If dragged on wooden runners, will the runners be allowed to be left in place?
3) Cement Grout: Will class - “Controlled Low Strength Material” (CLSM) be allowed for encasement?
4) Culvert Liner: Will class - “General” concrete be allowable for the Culvert Liner?
5) Construction Joints: Are horizontal Construction Joints allowed in the Culvert Liner to facilitate 2 pours?
Answer

1)  The available right-of-way (measured from the median centerline) is 130 ft to the south side and 230 ft to the north side (approximate fence line).
2)   If runners are left in-place, utilize steel runners and ensure grout fills all voids.
3)   No, CLSM will not be allowed for encasement.
4)   Yes, Class General Concrete will be allowed for the Culvert Liner.
5)   Yes.  However, joint must be sealed with a product approved by the Project Manager.
