Will MDT consider moving the NTP to July 8th Flex Date? The strip seal steel joint takes at least 3 months to procure. The anticipated award is April 9th. 3-4 weeks for shop drawings. 3-4 weeks for MDT review of shop drawings. 4-6 weeks to manufacture and deliver. Installation of the strip seal is the critical path for the project.

Yes, MDT will modify the NTP and now allow a Flex NTP of July 8th. Special Provision No. 2. Contract Time is hereby replaced with CONTRACT TIME – FLEX TIME PROCEED DATE

Could a cross-section showing slopes and curbs/barriers of each structure please be provided? It would be beneficial to provide a more accurate quote for the fabricated joints being replaced.

Cross sections of the bridge decks can be found in the as-built plans. Note that the eastbound bridge deck has been replaced.

They do not include drawings for modifications to the structures, such as joint replacements and guardrail revisions and may not completely represent current conditions.
